Learn how to skate!
All classes teach the basic fundamentals of the sport of Roller Skating. We then use the basics to create art in the form of a performance two times per year. Below you will find the various classes that your skater may select.

CLASSES

All classes teach the basic fundamentals of the sport of roller skating. We then use the basics to create art in the form of a recital two times per year. Below you will find the various groups that your skater may select.

Tiny Tot
Tiny Tot class is for children 6 and under. We teach your skater both safety and basic skills for the sport of roller skating. The class members also participate in a choreographed number in our semi-annual recital.

Drill Group
Drill uses a combination of formations of the group to create images of art for the final performance. Members participate in a choreographed number in our semi-annual recital.

Dance Group
Dance utilizes the art of rhythmic movement on roller skates to create unique and varied performances. Guest instructors with advanced dance experience from ballet to jazz will also work with this class. Group members participate in a choreographed number in our semi-annual recital.

Singles Group
Singles uses the art of jumping & spinning combined with the skills learned in dance and drill to create an extreme performance. Singles Group skaters participate in a choreographed number in our semi-annual recital.
* To participate in Singles Group you must participate in either the Dance and/or Drill Group. Groups are open to all ages.

RECITALS

There will be a recital in May & December. Each class will have at least one group number. Solos will be available. Solos will require private instruction for choreography.

May Recital Information
The May recital will be held on May 31, 2008.
Doors open at 4:30 and show time is 5:00 to 6:30PM.
We will be collecting a costume deposit of $35.00 per number. The deposit is due no later than February 1st. The balance of your costume cost will be due by April 1st. Once costumes have been ordered there are no refunds.
OUR INSTRUCTORS AND COACHES

Director & Head Coach - Tony Berger

Tony Berger, Skating School Director, is an Advanced Certified USA Roller Sports Coach who has been the US Olympic Committee Roller Sports Developmental Coach of the Year. He has traveled across the USA and abroad delivering seminars on skating and coaching techniques.Tony has also coached numerous National and USA World Team skaters.

Adjunct Instructors

Kaori Suzuki has trained at dance schools in Tokyo, the Mozartina Conservatory in New Jersey, and the Ballet Academy East in New York. She has performed numerous roles with the Space Coast Ballet and currently teaches at The Dance Factory in Palm Bay.

Petra Dayney is an Advanced Roller Sports coach and costume designer. She is a past German National Champion and World Champion in Roller Figures and Freestyle. Petra currently teaches students in Virginia and in Florida.
